Aka Ghosthouse 2 aka La casa 4 aka The Haunted House aka Witchcraft: Return of the Exorcist aka Evil Encounters aka Witchcraft.

A haunted hotel on an island off the coast of Massachusetts is the setting and the cast includes David Hasselhoff as Gary and Linda Blair as pregnant Jane Brooks. There’s no connection to La casa 3 aka Ghosthouse except they’re both Italian films shot in the U.S.A. and are about haunted buildings. I enjoyed it though. The cast alone makes it worth a watch but it’s also pretty engaging if you can get past the poorer effects and the little boy, Tommy Brooks played by Michael Manchester, who’s probably the worst child actor I’ve ever seen; what were they thinking? The rest of the cast are OK.

OK, I shouldn’t really recommend it. A reviewer is supposed to offer an unbiased assessment of a film (I think) and I enjoyed this for reasons more than likely personal to me. Maybe I just enjoy a good dose of bad horror now and again, I’m sure many of you feel the same, 90% of the films horror fans like don’t make a big splash in the ‘arses and elbows’ pond. I did watch the uncut version, I think there are just some tits missing from the cut one, and I thought the gore was pretty good.

Watch it basically. Hell the Hoff’s in it and I personally could watch anything starring Linda Blair and she’s good in this – major bad hair day.

Also stars Catherine Hickland as Linda Sullivan, Hildegard Knef as Lady In Black, Leslie Cumming as Leslie, Robert Champagne as Freddie Brooks and Annie Ross as Rose Brooks.
