RLJ Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: RLJE) has acquired all U.S. & Canadian rights to the Caliber Media western BONE TOMAHAWK. Written and Directed by S. Craig Zahler, BONE TOMAHAWK stars Kurt Russell (Tombstone, Hateful Eight), Patrick Wilson (Insidious, TV’s “Fargo”), Matthew Fox (Alex Cross, TV’S “Lost”), Lili Simmons (“True Detective”, “Banshee”), and Richard Jenkins (The Visitor, Olive Kitteridge). Mark Ward, RLJ Entertainment’s Chief Acquisitions Officer, made the announcement today. BONE TOMAHAWK marks the first title acquired under the RLJ Entertainment brand. RLJ Entertainment, Inc. previously released its theatrical titles under the Image Entertainment brand, which RLJE purchased in 2012.
“We are proud to be bringing this thrilling film to US audiences this year,” said Ward. “With S. Craig Zahler’s uncompromising vision and the raw performances from the incredible cast, there is no doubt that BONE TOMAHWK will be an instant classic.”

Ahead of the release of Sinister 2 later this month, Gramercy Pictures has announced a new initiative called “Sinister Weekends,” a midnight screenings program across the country to connect Sinister fans with the franchise’s haunting inspirations. Films set to be shown across the country include The Ring, The Devil’s Backbone, Let The Right One In and Night of The Living Dead.
The program is set to terrorize fans in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Chicago and over a dozen additional markets with weekends of horror celebrating fright inspirations for Sinister co-creators and Sinister 2 screenwriters and Scott Derrickson & C. Robert Cargill as well as Sinister 2 director Ciarán Foy. The “Sinister Weekends” culminate in special midnight screenings of the original Sinister with each featuring a recorded introductions from Ciarán Foy and producer Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions.

The Diabolical was directed by Alistair Legrand in his feature film debut from a script he co-wrote with Luke Harvis. It was produced by Ross M. Dinerstein (The Pact, The Divide, Mr. Jones) and executive produced by Jamie Carmichael of Content Media and Kevin Iwashina of Preferred Content. The Diabolical marks the first film from Campfire, the new production company founded by Dinerstein and Content Media.
