There are tons of these creepy stories floating around the internet, but this is one of the few that’s actually engaging, well-written, and genuinely freaky. Surprise, surprise — someone is using this urban legend to power their upcoming horror flick, and it actually looks pretty good.
Co-written and directed by David Hunt, Living Dark: The Story of Ted the Caver tells the story of two brothers who stumble across a mysterious opening to a cave. Their curiosity piqued, they decide to poke around to see what’s inside. As you may already have guessed, their exploration of the cave proves incredibly dangerous. When will people learn to leave well enough alone?

Living Dark tells the story of two estranged brothers, reunited for their father’s funeral. Attempting reconciliation, the brothers stumble upon the sealed entrance to a nearby cave, where they are slowly forced to confront the true, nightmarish cause of their father’s death.
